Shipping and Returns Policy
We can ship to virtually any address in the world.
Calculating Cost
Shipping costs depends on a number of things:
1. Physical Weight
2. Cubic Weight
3. Shipping method selected (First Class, Air, Express, Sea, etc…)
4. Shipping Origin
5. Shipping Destination
6. Insurance if selected
All courier and postal company’s throughout the world charge on the greater amount of either “physical or cubic” weight. So keep this min mind and don’t get upset because this is out of our control here at Shogai Imports.
Delivery Time
The shipping time varies depending on the shipping method chosen. The shipping methods available depends on the products purchased, the size (whichever is greater physical or cubic weight), availability of the products at the respective warehouses and shipping destination. The website will automatically determine the shipping methods available based on the various factors and present them accordingly in the Shipping section of the checkout process. However once we receive the order we will in all cases double check that the shipping method selected is correct for both Shogai Imports and yourself.
Australia Post Express Post Satchels® (within Australia)
Express Post Satchels for guaranteed* next business day delivery of items up to 3kg in weight (providing they fit in the 3kg satchel of course) and also if the place of posting and destination are within the Next Business Day Delivery Network (please visit www.austpost.com.au for further details).
If you or your recipient are not within the Express Post Next Business Day Delivery Network, the fastest possible delivery is provided on a non-guaranteed basis.
Satchels
Up to 500g
- 500g satchel; 353mm x 220mm
Up to 3kg
- 3kg satchel; 405mm x 310mm
Items too large for a satchel, or weighing from 3kg to 20kg, can be delivered by Express Post Parcels (please visit www.austpost.com.au for further details).
Australia Post Express Parcels® (within Australia)
Use Express Post Parcels for guaranteed* next business day delivery of items up to 20kg in weight, if the place of posting and destination are within the Next Business Day Delivery Network (please visit www.austpost.com.au for further details).
Prices for such service are rather high, but a good service is provided by Australia Post. Not recommended, unless you need the items in a hurry!!! Remember you will be paying for the freight, so keep this mind.
If you or your recipient are not within the Express Post Next Business Day Delivery Network, the fastest possible delivery is provided on a non-guaranteed basis.
Australia Post Registered Post® (within Australia)
Benefits:
- Cheap way of added security ($2.75 on top of standard postal charge)
- A unique identification number for every article
- Proof of posting when an article is presented at a Australia Post office counter for delivery
- A signature obtained on delivery
- Compensation of up to $100 is included
- Optional “Insurance Available” up to a maximum of $5,000 (fees payable dependent on amount of insurance requested)
- Domestic delivery confirmation (fee of $2.00 if selected)
- Domestic person to person (fee of $5.50 if selected)
Fastway Couriers® (within Australia)
Fastway Couriers was conceived in April 1983 and has grown to become one of the largest courier company’s in Australia. They provide an excellent low cost alternative to the “other” major courier company’s already out there.
Benefits:
- Ability to ship slightly larger items then say Australia Post
- Good delivery times (usually next business day in some states)
- Proof of delivery (traceable online)
- Extremely cheap ($15.00 through to $52.80 throughout Australia – average being $28.00 “per parcel”)
Australia Post Air Mail® International
Packages are shipped from Sydney, Australia and the delivery time is typically about six to twelve business days*.
Air Mail is the standard service accommodating letters and parcels up to 20kg, which can be relied on to deliver your items to virtually any address in the world.
Benefits:
- Reliable delivery to over 200 countries in 3 to 10 working days
- A less expensive option if delivery is not courier urgent
- Prepaid envelopes and padded parcelpaks are available
- Registered Post International and Express Post International are specialised airmail products
Return and Exchange Policy
We guarantee that you will like what you buy, by offering a 10 day Return and Exchange policy. All freight charges will be payable by you (the customer if you choose to return something for exchange), no exceptions.
Refunds
Refunds
No refunds = No exceptions!!!
You have to inform us in writing at sales@australiannationallighting.com within 3 days of receiving the goods if you intend to exchange. You will need to explain to us why it is being returned and wait for a reply from us stating that it is ok to do so. We will happily exchange the item if:
- We have the new item you wish to exchange it for in-stock and it is available for delivery
- The original item is returned in the EXACT/UNUSED condition it was sent in (including the packaging)
- You have paid for “ALL” freight charges for Shogai Imports to “receive and resend” the replacement item out you
Returns of damaged or used goods will be rejected - these goods will be discarded. Any “incomplete packaged” items will result in a 30% re-stocking fee – NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
If the order was shipped under a free shipping promotion, a AU$15 fee will be deducted from the refund amount to cover the shipping charges.
Exchanges
Our exchanges are in the form of a return for an exchange of an item that is in stock at the time of receiving the return. Once the item has been received and it is agreed that the item has been retuned in the original unused condition that it was sent out, we will then happily exchange the item for the next size or colour (minus the cost of postage). Any item that has been specifically (due to colour, size or model) ordered in for a customer and is not part of our stock line, we unfortunately will not accept for return under any circumstance - NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
Defects
Defects are extremely rare due to the high quality of the production process. However, if you believe that the product that you have received is defective. Do not use the product. As soon as the product is used, there is no way to proof whether the defect was due to manufacturing or damaged by the user. Take clear macro (the flower icon on your camera) photos of the defect and send them to sales@australiannationallighting.com and outline what you see is the problem. In most cases we will need the item returned for us to determine the problem. If the item is deemed to be faulty (due to the manufacturing of the product and not the user), we will happily replace the item. Remember the better the photo’s you can provide the quicker we can determine the outcome.
